Born and raised, proud to be, of Cherokee decent, "Standsbyriver" lives in the foothills of the Northeast Georgia Mountains. She hand crafts almost all of the Native American Indian style artifact reproductions and antique lamp reproductions you will see in this Web site. She is a artist writer, poet and craftsman. "Standsbyriver" grew up being told this story about her ancestors. It is said that her grandmother grew up on the Cherokee Indian Reservation in Cherokee, North Carolina, until the age of 14. That was the age of woman-hood in those days. Before the age of twenty she bore three children. She later lived in Northeast Georgia, where she died at the very young age of 26, so very little is known about her. You can see her photo and read more about her on the "Standsbyriver" page.
